I have used conventional and folding bicycles for everyday transportation and commuting for over 15 years.

 I am the founder and president of the Friends of the Pumpkinvine Nature Trail, Inc., a not-for-profit organization that has spear-headed the effort to convert a 16-mile abandoned railroad into a multiuse trail between Goshen, Middlebury and Shipshewana, Ind.

I have also served on the cycling advisory committee of the Michiana Area Council of Governments (MACOG), the Metropolitan Planning Organization for Elkhart and St. Joseph counties and currently serve on the Maple City Bicycle Advisory Committee. .
